That Lidl is on the rise has not escaped anyone, with more stores coming, a new head office and a new central warehouse opening. Now, the supermarket chain is investing in an employee portal from Benify, which means that more than 4,200 employees in Sweden can access and use their employee benefits more efficiently and easily.

Sweden's fastest-growing food chain Lidl is fast approaching its goal of 200 stores throughout the country, from north to south. In November, a new central warehouse will open in Örebro and, in the spring of 2020, the company will move into its newly-built head office in Barkarby, outside of Stockholm.

Lidl Sweden’s investment in an employee portal for their more than 4,200 employees is part of a larger effort to make Lidl the industry's best employer, says Helena Erlingsjö, HR Director at Lidl Sweden, in a recent press release

The portal will change how the company works with benefits:

The launch of the portal is a way for us to digitise our processes regarding employee benefits and to make our benefits more transparent and accessible. We also want to create opportunities to offer even more benefits than we already do today.

Jimi Guldstrand, Head of Key Account Management at Benify, is pleased to welcome Lidl Sweden as a client:

“We look forward to collaborating with Lidl Sweden and using our tools and expertise to support them in their ambition to become the industry's best employer.”

In the employee portal, Lidl Sweden employees will be able to access e-payslips and employee discounts, as well as digital pension advice from Benify's sister company, Lifeplan.

Lidl's way of valuing their employees and seeing them as their most important resource is a view that we share completely and we’ll be putting a great deal of effort into helping Lidl convey this.
